Nice and Cozy at the Bristol

24 Jun

Bristol Lounge is a great place to go when you want to be in a dark, warm, cozy place (I usually sit on the couches or in the lounge when I go). Considering the weather last night, that is exactly what I was in the mood for doing, so when my boyfriend’s mom called to see if we wanted to join her, his sister and her fiance for dinner we eagerly agreed.

We got great seats on the couches and ordered our drinks: The bartender was very helpful and when I told her I wanted something with muddled raspberries, sparkly and not too sweet, she came up with the perfect concoction on the left :)

Our meal went as follows:

This is only a half order of the Bibb Salad, Crumbled Goat Cheese, Crisp Shallots, Aged Balsamic Vinegar–after asking for extra dressing, everyone loved it

Garganelli, Bolognese, Ricotta Salata, Torn Basil, Crisp Garlic Bread– This was just okay

Grilled Cheese with Bacon and Tomato (Everyone agreed it was not the best grilled cheese they ever had) though the Truffle Fries on the side were a great added bonus to the meal :)

Miso Cod, Soy Ginger Vegetable Broth, Wilted Spinach, Crisp Noodles–Very good, not too filling, the soy ginger broth went perfectly with the Miso Cod

And last, but not least, my favorite dish–Pan-Seared Sea Scallops, Spring Onion Mascarpone Risotto, Sweet Peas, Sicilian Tomato Butter Sauce. I had been craving scallops for SO long, and these were the perfect ones to quench the craving. they were big, cooked perfectly and went lovely with the Spring Onion Mascarpone Risotto.

Thank you Bonnie for a DELICIOUS dinner!!

SIDE NOTE:

I went to Bristol with my girl friends a few weeks ago and only got a few apps (mainly drinks) so I wasn’t able to put a full post up, but now I can add it to this one.

We got the Seafood Sampler – Chilled Selection of Shrimp, Maine Lobster, Snow Crab Claws, Oysters, Clams

And the Ahi Tuna Tartare, Avocado, Jicama, Grilled Scallions which was AMAZING!
